Cordingley Will Coach Eastern All-Stars

Earlier today, the National Lacrosse League announced the coaching staffs for the 2012 NLL All-Star Game.  The Eastern All-Stars will be led by Toronto Rock head coach Troy Cordingley for the second consecutive year.  Buffalo Bandits head coach Darris Kilgour will be the assistant coach for the Eastern team.

The NLL also unveiled the logo for the 2012 All-Star Game.  The game will be hosted by the Buffalo Bandits at First Niagara Center on Saturday, February 25th at 7pm Eastern.  The game marks the first time that the Bandits will host the All-Star Game in the 21-year history of the franchise.  The game will also mark the first All-Star Game to be played at First Niagara Center, which opened in 1996.

“It’s a tremendous honour to be selected as the Head Coach for the Eastern All-Stars,” said the humbled head coach of the defending NLL Champions.  “This is a team honour and a reflection of our success as a team as the Eastern Division Champions from a year ago.”

Washington Stealth head coach Chris Hall will be head coach of the Western team, assisted by Edmonton Rush head coach Derek Keenan.  Hall is currently on leave from the Stealth as he undergoes treatment on a cancerous tumor in his right tonsil, but expects to make a full recovery and be back behind the bench at some point during the early portion of the season.

Tickets for the All-Star Game are now on sale and can be purchased for as low as $18 per ticket.  For more information on All-Star Game tickets, visit www.bandits.com.

The game will be the league’s eleventh All-Star Game, as the Eastern All-Stars battle the Western All-Stars. Fans will once again help in selecting the All-Star players by voting online at NLL.com.
