DEFENCEMAN BRAD MACARTHUR RETIRES FROM THE NLL

Veteran defender, Brad MacArthur has retired from professional lacrosse after playing in the NLL for seven seasons.

After a two year hiatus from professional lacrosse in 2005 and 2006, MacArthur last played in the NLL in 2004 for the Calgary Roughnecks before returning to the League to suit up for the Toronto Rock for the 2007 season.

MacArthur has played in 92 career games since 1999 and was considered one of the top faceoff men during his first stint in the NLL. Having won 624 career face offs in his 7 years with Rochester, Montreal, Calgary and Toronto, Brad retires at eleventh on the NLL All Time Faceoff Wins list.

Toronto Rock Training Camp continues this week before a 23-man roster is finalized and submitted to the NLL for the December 13th deadline. The final roster will come out in new team jerseys during the pre-season exhibition game scheduled for Saturday December 15th at the General Motors Centre in Oshawa, Ontario at 7:30 p.m. Visit www.torontorock.com for more details.
