Josh Sanderson Moved To Active Roster

JOSH SANDERSON MOVED TO ACTIVE ROSTER

Jesse Gamble and Scott Johnston Also Placed On Active Roster

Oakville, ON – Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick has announced several roster moves with the Rock coming off a bye week and preparing for an important NLL East Division matchup on Sunday against the New Black Wolves. The most significant move is Josh Sanderson being placed on the active roster, ending the evaluation period, as he is set to make his return on Sunday.

Other roster additions include defenders Jesse Gamble and Scott Johnston. Gamble has missed the last 2 games due to a lower body injury while Johnston has not played since January of 2015 after tearing his ACL in a practice. Both are expected to be in the lineup on Sunday.

With three players moving to the active roster, three players were moved off the active roster.

Veteran defender Patrick Merrill will undergo knee surgery in March and has been placed on season-ending injured reserve. Forward Kevin Ross and defenceman Luc Magnan were both released from the active roster and signed to the practice roster.

The Rock will look to get their first win of the season on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Uncasville, CT to face the New England Black Wolves. Fans can watch the game live at 3 p.m. on Rogers TV Toronto, Peel, Durham, York and Keswick along with CogecoTV Halton and FOX Sports GO
