Josh Sanderson Wins ‘Pinty’s Wingman Of The Week’ Again

Oakville, ON – The National Lacrosse League today announced Toronto Rock forward Josh Sanderson as the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Week” award winner for the second-straight week. Sanderson currently leads the league with 20 points (4+16) in 2015 after recording a total of 13 points (4+9) with nine assists in Toronto’s 20-11 road win over Vancouver in Week 2.

Sanderson, who ranks third in NLL all-time history with 810 career assists, won the award in Week 1 by registering a league-high seven assists in the team’s season-opening win over Rochester. By winning both weekly awards so far, Sanderson is an early favorite for the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Year” award.

Pinty’s is an official partner for the NLL on TSN during the 2015 season. Each week, an NLL player will receive the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Week” award based on their performance with respect to passing prowess and playmaking abilities. The weekly award winners will be entered into the pool of finalists for the “Pinty’s Wingman of the Year” award at the end of the season.

The Rock are off this weekend but return to action with two games in Week 4, first hosting the Buffalo Bandits for the team’s home opener at Air Canada Centre on Friday, January 23rd at 7:30pm ET before heading to Rochester on Saturday, January 24th for a rematch with the Knighthawks at 7:30pm ET.
