The NLL announced that a new expansion franchise in Boston, MA will join the league for the 2008 season.

The team also introduced their Head Coach, former NLL player Tom Ryan, who retired as a player in 2002.

The Boston team becomes the league's 14th franchise, and will play its home games at TD Banknorth Garden.
