Rock Make Roster Moves

Toronto – The Toronto Rock made a pair of roster moves releasing Brice Queener and Geoff McNulty on Monday.

“These were two very tough decisions, but we now have the 26 guys we plan to start the season with,” said Rock GM Terry Sanderson.

21-year old McNulty played in 3 games at the tail end of the 2010 season with the Rock after being activated from the practice roster.  He scored twice and added 4 assists for 6 points.

A native of Penn Yan, New York, Queener was one of the players who made it right through from Toronto’s Rookie and Free Agent camp.  Queener played with Ajax-Pickering of Major Series Lacrosse this past summer in the Ontario Lacrosse Association.

The Rock staff will now have to determine who will be on the 23-man active roster prior to the December 23rd deadline.

The following are the players who are still in camp with the Toronto Rock.

Goaltenders: Pat Campbell, Gee Nash, Bob Watson

Defence: Sandy Chapman, Stephen Hoar, Cam Woods, Glen Bryan, Ryan Dilks, Patrick Merrill, Phil Sanderson, Jeff Gilbert, Mike Hobbins, Rob Marshall, Drew Petkoff, Kyle Ross and Creighton Reid.

Forward: Colin Doyle, Blaine Manning, Garrett Billings, Stephan Leblanc, Pat Maddalena, Aaron Pascas, Mat MacLeod, Kasey Beirnes, Rob Hellyer and Tim O’Brien.

Toronto opens their 2011 season on Saturday, January 8 at 7:00pm against the Edmonton Rush at Air Canada Centre.
