Rock Sign Six-Pack

Toronto – The Toronto Rock have signed six players to one-year contracts including top draft selection Bradley Kri and veteran forward Dan Carey.  The Rock will begin their official training camp on Saturday, December 1st at the brand new Toronto Rock practice facility in Oakville, ON in preparation for the 2013 season.

The 30-year old Carey is a veteran of six NLL seasons and is entering his second season in Toronto after playing five years in Colorado with the Mammoth. The Peterborough, ON native was acquired in July of 2011 via trade along with a 3rd Round pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft and a 1st Round Pick in the 2013 NLL Entry Draft (originally belonging to Rochester) from Colorado in exchange for Mat MacLeod, Creighton Reid and a 1st and 2nd round pick in the 2011 NLL Entry Draft.

Carey is an offensive lefty who has battled injury woes throughout his career and was limited to playing just 12 games in 2012, scoring 14 goals and adding 11 assists for 25 points.  After missing the final few regular season games and both of Toronto’s playoff games, Carey is healthy and ready to begin training camp with his teammates in December.

Five of the seven players the Rock selected in the 2012 NLL Entry Draft have agreed to terms.  Kri (2nd Round, 14th overall), Mike Lum-Walker (2nd Round, 20th overall), Dustin Caravello (4th round, 34th overall), Robert Koger (5th round, 43rd overall) and Tyler Glebe (6th round, 52nd overall) have each signed one-year contracts.  Third round picks Kyle Pereira (25th overall) and Kyle Belton (27th overall) remain unsigned.
