ROCK SEEK THIRD STRAIGHT WIN

Toronto, ON - Coming off a much-needed bye week, the Toronto Rock face back-to-back home games - both against frontrunning Eastern Division rivals: the Rochester Knighthawks on Feburary 25 and the Buffalo Bandits on March 4th. The Rock are looking to keep the winning mon=mentum alive, having won their two previous games. On February 11, they traveled to Minnesota and took a convincing 15-9 win before traveling home on Saturday and taking a dominating 16-10 win over Canadian counterparts, the Calgary Roughnecks.

Meanwhile, the Knighthawks travel to Toronto after a tough 11-7 loss last Saturday to the Buffalo Bandits. The always-dangerous John Grant Jr. was held to just three points, after posting back-to-back 10-plus points games against Philadelphia. Shutting down Grant will be one of the keys to a Toronto victory. Grant seems to have the Rock's defense's number, posting; scoring 6 points in a 15-6 Rochester win on January 28th and another 7 point effort on January 29th. Rock fans have reason to be optimistic however, as Toronto boast's an impressive 8-2 overall home record against Rochester.

Offensively, the Rock will look to top scorers Josh Sanderson and Blaine Manning to carry the load. Sanderson leads the team with 38 points, including an impressive 26 assists. Manning also needs to have a big night against Rochester. Hopefully his concentration is not distracted by his journey to Calgary for Saturday's All-Star game, where he has been slated to start for the Eastern Division team. Fortunately, The Rock other offensive weapons - Colin Doyle and Aaron Wilson - seem to be hitting their stride. Doyle and Wilson rank third and fourth on the team with 35 and 27 points respectively. The defense, while shaky in their previous meeting with the Knighthawks, has been delivering it at both ends of the floor reflected in Jim Veltman's stellar defensive play - 9 points in just 4 games since returning from a hamstring injury early this season.

Rock-Rochester games are some of the most intense in League history, and that's not likely to change, said forward Chris Driscoll.

"We're 4-2 right now, heading into an important divisional game. Obviously we weren't happy with the results in our first two games against Rochester and we're not about to let that happen again on our home turf. This week's practice was intense and the guys are ready to go." Chris Driscoll; Toronto Rock Transition.
