Welcome Back Barks

Toronto – The Toronto Rock are pleased to announce the return of public address announcer Bruce Barker as the voice of the NLL Champions at Air Canada Centre.

Barker served as public address announcer through three of Toronto’s six NLL championships and was behind the mic when the Rock were a part of the last professional sporting event ever played at Maple Leaf Gardens in 2000.  In that historic NLL Championship game, Kaleb Toth scored the winning goal with just one second left to lift the Rock to their second Champion’s Cup as they defeated the Rochester Knighthawks.

“I am proud to once again be part of the Toronto Rock and the lacrosse community in Ontario,” said Barker.  “The fans are the best in the world and when I ask them to ‘Make some noise for the boys’ they do and that makes every game special.  I am 100 percent ready to rock Air Canada Centre.”

This Friday night, Barker will make his return to the Rock in the Foster Hewitt Media Gondola as the Rock play host to the Rochester Knighthawks at 7pm.  The game can also be seen live on TSN2.

For tickets to Friday night’s game, please visit www.torontorock.com or call 416-596-3075.
